He was admitted into the male medical ward of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra State on 19th August, 2022. Liver abscess is an abnormal clinical syndrome involving the inflammation of the liver due to some bacterial infections which can be caused either by amoebic liver abscess or pyogenic liver abscess. He presented with fever, weight loss, chest pain, abdominal pain at the right hypochondriac generalized abdominal distension and persistent yellowness of the eye to the clinic. For this reason, he was admitted and an intravenous infusion of metronidazole was set up, he was treated with antibiotics. All medical and nursing care were rendered which successfully lead to his discharge to home on 30th August 2022 to be seen in the clinic for check up and follow-up care on 15th September 2022 which he kept to.
