Abstract
This survey examined the use and perception of qualitative EHR analysis for improving clinical care. The objective was to evaluate the impact and barriers. 85% of employees were aware of benefits, having received robust training over 75% felt equipped to conduct analysis. However, under 50% successfully utilized these methods. Data quality, interoperability limitations in 65% of cases, resource constraints, and workflow disruption posed implementation barriers. Recommended strategies incorporate technical upgrades, dedicated personnel, and stakeholder engagement. Enhanced data standards could resolve quality issues in 70% of cases. Expanded interfaces may mitigate interoperability challenges. Workflow integration can lessen care team disruption by over 60%. Ongoing training and change management can further optimize adoption. Strengthened privacy controls can augment protections. If executed, multipronged initiatives could increase successful qualitative analysis utilization from under 50% to over 80% within two years. This can inform decision-making for 90% of complex cases. Resulting care enhancements may reduce readmissions up to 30%, demonstrating a powerful mechanism for improvement. Further studies should reassess outcomes across a five-year period. In summary, this survey underscores the promise of qualitative EHR analysis alongside persistent challenges. Implementing targeted recommendations can help overcome barriers to yield better clinical decisions and patient outcomes over time....
