This study focuses on the evaluation of farmers' perception of climate change in Biu local government Area. The perception of the local farmers in the study area was analyzed through the distribution of questionnaires to the respondents in five communities (Buratai Gabura, Gunda, Gur, Miringa). This study evaluates farmers’ perception of climate change in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria. The Data of this research were collected through the use of questionnaires, Focus group discussions and published sources. From the analyses, it was revealed that 82% of the farmers in the study area are aware of climate change and 18% of the farmers were not aware of climate change. The study also shows that there is a significant relationship between farmers’ perceptions and sources of information about climate change. It also shows that the majority of the farmers in the study believed that a change in rainfall is a sign of climate change and an increase in temperature. They also indicated that the rainfall is decreasing in the study area. The study also revealed that the majority of the farmers in the study area adopted early planting and irrigation farming as coping strategies for climate change. The following recommendations were made.
