The study used a survey research design with a population sample size of 100 participants which consisted of second- and third-year degree students of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, as well as businessmen and women from within and around the school premises. A total of 100 questionnaires, 50 for each category of students and businessmen, were administered for the study. The data collected were analysed using the Person Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) and Percentage Analysis method. The results provided useful information on the actual benefits of studying French for students and professionals in business. In particular, the study found that improved sales performance and revenue production for businesswomen and businessmen were significantly correlated with French language fluency. This association emphasizes how important language proficiency is for networking, negotiating, and successful communication in business contexts. Also, the research revealed a significant relationship between students'' development of positive attitudes and their level of French proficiency. Students with high language proficiency displayed greater confidence, flexibility, and knowledge of other cultures. These positive attributes not only promote academic achievement but also proactive actions and social engagement, which in turn create a favorable atmosphere for the growth and development of the country. Finally, the study recommended that the federal government make the study of French language compulsory in all secondary schools in the country, and provide incentives such as quality conditions and reduced cost of immersion programs for both teachers and learners of the language respectively. ...Preview Download Preview +Other Language and Linguistics project topics and materials you might be interested in»The effects of folktales as a satirical weapon for curbing social ills and inculcation of moral values»The contribution of foreign language studies to nation building - french as a case study in Nigeria
