Survey research design was used. Questionnaire was administered in order to obtain relevant material for the study. A total of 80 registered commercial vehicle owners of NURTW Jalingo were used as respondents in order to collect necessary data. The research questions were administered using frequency distribution and mean score. The study concluded that the PMS price fluctuations severely affect the operational efficiency and profitability of commercial vehicle transporters in Jalingo. Despite implementing various coping strategies, transporters continue to face significant financial challenges that threaten their sustainability. The need for government intervention through subsidies and regulatory measures is evident to stabilize the transport sector. Furthermore, exploring alternative energy sources is essential for reducing dependence on PMS and ensuring long-term viability.
