Due to technological innovation that permeates all sectors, including health, EHR, which Health Information Management Professionals are managing, has been implemented. The study adopted descriptive survey research designs, The population comprised all Health Information Management Professionals, which is eight-seven (87) in the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Kwara State which was used for the findings. Based on the findings, health information management professionals were knowledgeable about EHR, Attitude of information management professionals is positive toward EHR. Information management professionals utilize electronic health records. Information management professionals perceived that their level of acceptance of electronic health records is very high. and there is a significant relationship between information professionals' acceptance and utilization of electronic health records. The use of Information Technology (EHR) in health records management is an integral part of healthcare service delivery as it goes a long way in enhancing service delivery as well as serving as a basis for following patients' health trends over time. It also serves as a basis for effecting a referral service. Hence, efforts should be made to ensure regular preservation and management of health records in the hospital. Information management professionals are knowledgeable, did accept, utilize and have a positive attitude to EHR. Hence, they need to be involved in the development and implementation of electronic health records (EHR) now and not after the EHR systems are fully implemented.
