Abstract
The research work sought to find out the impact of the distribution channel on organizational performance. The general/major objective of the study is to assess the role of channels of distribution on the Sales performance of an organization. The study used the primary and secondary sources of data for the research, which are the questionnaire, interview and observation, while structured questionnaire is the major instrument for data collection.  The questionnaire was analyzed with simple percentages.  The study revealed that distribution channels have greatly impacted the organizational sales performance as it enhance productivity and increase the business fertility of the organization. The researcher concluded that the distribution of products from the marketer to the ultimate consumers has been receiving much attention in marketing-oriented companies. The marketer’s aim is not actually achieved until these productions are in the right place at the right time for existing and potential customers to buy. The product is within minimal effort, which is what makes distribution one of the‘marketing mix’. In the distribution of the company’s product, the channel is one of the most important factors to consider for the product because this may lead marketers to seek an alternative from the viewpoint. Based on the findings, it was recommended that transportation is a vital element in the channel of distribution. It is the spinal cord of the distribution channel. In view of this fact, the transportation system of the company should be reactivated, especially the maintenance aspect of it. This will help to ensure the reliability of the company’s transportation facilities as well as minimize the rate at which these facilities are used. Breakdown has also caused a lot of bottlenecks....
