A descriptive survey research design was employed, integrating quantitative methods. The population comprised three hundred and ninety-eight (398) law students, with a sample size of one hundred and ninety-eight (198) selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentages, means, and standard deviations. Findings revealed that e-journals, e-books, and online databases like JSTOR and ProQuest are significantly accessed by the majority of the respondents (80%), though the institutional repository is less utilized. Accessibility is generally high (85% access on- and off-campus). Students primarily use EIRs for academic research (90%), with e-journals and e-books being most popular. Major challenges include poor internet connectivity (85%), limited digital literacy (75%), and insufficient computers (70%). Recommendations include enhancing training programs, improving internet and computer infrastructure, increasing awareness of underutilized resources like the digital repository, and providing personalized library assistance to boost EIR utilization and support academic success....Preview Download Preview +Other Library and Information Science project topics and materials you might be interested in»Staff Motivation in Academic Libraries»The effect of social media on reading culture among students»Effects of poor implementation of collection development policy in academic libraries»Annotated bibliography on information and communication technology»Library catalogue utilization among students in academic libraries - a case study of Federal Polytechnic Idah library»Product marketing: a strategic step for libraries in the information age (a case study of Imo state library board, Owerri)»Awareness and utilization of electronic information resources by library and information science students (a case study of Nnamdi Azikiwe university, Awka) »Information needs and information seeking behaviour of children in public libraries - a case study of Kwara State library board, Ilorin»Information needs and seeking behaviour of senior non-academic staff of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri»Challenges of ICT applications in law libraries»The availability and utilization of modern information resources in teaching and learning in selected private secondary schools in Owerri metropolis»A study of the information needs of rural health workers in Ebikoro, Owerri north LGA of Imo state»Challenges of the management of staff appraisal programme in the library of Imo state (a case study of Imo state university)»Annotated bibliography on English language»Effects of library on the academic performances of students in tertiary institutions
