However, many crimes committed today are actually reported late or sometimes go unreported due to the difficult procedure in reporting crimes in Nigeria and also, there is poor handling of reported crimes. In this research, which is a web-based crime report handling in Police Force, automation is introduced to the process of crime reporting. Review on the current system gives an understanding of the challenges and a new system was designed to solve these challenges. The system was then implemented using PHP and MySQL, which are robust platforms for online applications. The system was built to be user-friendly, efficient and reliable in reporting and handling reported crimes, which will aid in arresting criminals and bringing them to book. The proposed system was experimented on various scenarios in order to evaluate its performance.
