The research objectives were to examine the effect of misinformation, disinformation, and political bias& propaganda on public trust in AIT, Abuja, Nigeria. A descriptive survey research design was employed for the study. The population for the study was 5,000 residents of Abuja, and 379 respondents were used as the sample size, drawn using the Taro Yamane formula. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using regression analysis. The findings revealed that misinformation, disinformation, and political bias& propaganda have a significant negative effect on public trust in AIT, Abuja, Nigeria. Based on this, the researcher recommended that government agencies, educational institutions, and civil society organizations should intensify media literacy programs to help the public critically assess misinformation. Media organizations should also enforce strong fact-checking and editorial processes.
