Primary data was collected through structured questionnaires administered to selected staff of Union Bank Plc, Ilorin, while secondary data was obtained from financial reports, journals, and existing literature. The research methodology employed includes descriptive statistics and inferential analysis to assess the relationship between cash management efficiency and profitability indicators. Findings reveal that efficient cash management has a significant and positive impact on the profitability and growth of Union Bank Plc. It was observed that poor liquidity planning, inadequate cash forecasting, and delays in fund mobilization negatively affect the bank''s operational sustainability and competitive edge. Conversely, strong internal control systems, timely reconciliation, and judicious fund allocation promote financial stability and institutional development. The study concludes that robust cash management strategies are vital to the financial performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria. It recommends the adoption of advanced cash monitoring tools, continuous staff training on financial prudence, and strict regulatory compliance to improve cash handling processes.
