Using a case study approach, the research adopts both qualitative and quantitative methods, including structured questionnaires administered to logistics, transportation, and supply chain personnel at Dangote Plc, alongside interviews with distribution managers. Secondary data were sourced from company reports and logistics performance records. Descriptive and inferential statistical tools were employed to analyze the data and establish the relationship between transport efficiency, distribution management, and service delivery performance. Findings from the study reveal that efficient transportation infrastructure, timely vehicle scheduling, route optimization, and strategic distribution planning significantly enhance service reliability and operational fluidity. The study also identifies major challenges such as poor road networks, fuel cost volatility, and inadequate tracking technologies, which hamper the optimal functioning of the distribution system. The research concludes that effective transport and distribution functions are critical enablers of seamless operations in service-oriented industries like Dangote Plc. It recommends investment in fleet modernization, adoption of real-time distribution monitoring systems, and infrastructural partnerships with government agencies to improve logistics efficiency.
