Abstract
This study investigates the impact of material inspection on organizational productivity in the manufacturing sector, using the Nigerian Bottling Company Plc, Ilorin Branch, as a case study. The research aims to examine how effective material inspection practices contribute to operational efficiency, product quality, and overall productivity within the organization. A combination of primary and secondary data collection methods was employed, including structured questionnaires administered to key personnel involved in quality control, procurement, and production. The study highlights the correlation between rigorous material inspection and reduced production downtime, minimized waste, and improved customer satisfaction. Findings reveal that consistent and thorough inspection of raw materials significantly enhances manufacturing performance by ensuring that only quality inputs are utilized in the production process. The study concludes with recommendations for strengthening inspection protocols and training programs to sustain high productivity levels.
