By integrating soil, climatic, and environmental parameters such as texture, moisture, pH, nutrients (N, P, K), cation exchange capacity (CEC), slope, elevation, land use/land cover (LULC), and climatic conditions (rainfall, temperature, and relative humidity), suitability zones were classified using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Weighted Overlay techniques. The results revealed that 54.72% of the area was highly suitable, 45.27% moderately suitable, and only 0.006% classified as low suitable for yam production. These findings support targeted agricultural planning and sustainable land use strategies.
