A structured questionnaire was designed to gather information from respondents. Twenty questionnaires were administered to the respondents and all were retrieved. However, challenges such as information overload, poor filing systems, and technological issues hinder their performance. The study recommends that organizations establish well-organized filing systems, provide training and development opportunities, and improve access to information to enhance secretarial productivity. The findings also emphasize the importance of effective information retrieval on secretaries' performance, including increased productivity, improved accuracy, and enhanced decision-making. The study's recommendations aim to improve information retrieval processes, contributing to organizational success.
