Abstract
The research centered on the knowledge and attitude of women of childbearing age in Osina community, Yala Local Government Area. of Cross River state, and this formed the purpose of the study. The researcher used primary and secondary sources of data collection, with a structured questionnaire as the major instrument used. Three health clinics in Osina community formed the population of the study through ANC and immunization attendance, which stood at 250 in number. To reduce the population to a researchable size sample of 100 respondents were used. Three research questions were asked to carry out the study. A total of 100 questionnaires were distributed and the return rate was 100%. The responses were analysed in a table showing frequency and percentages. The study revealed a high level of knowledge and attitude among women of childbearing age in Osina community, Yala L.G.A. The result shows that the majority of the women in Osina are aware, based on their knowledge, but they have a negative attitude towards the prevention of diarrhea. Since there was a negative attitude towards the prevention of diarrhea, there is a need for further studies to ascertain the good level of diarrhea prevention....
