It explores factors such as ethnicity, religion, and socio-economic status that influenced voters'' choices. The Diffusion of Innovations Theory, developed by Everett Rogers in 1962, is used to understand how political behavior spreads among voters. Data was analyzed using simple percentages and descriptive statistics. The population for the study was 137,300, with a sample size of 385 respondents from Agbor, Delta State, using a structured questionnaire for data collection. The findings show that ethnic, religious, and socio-economic factors, along with political party influence, played key roles in shaping voter behavior.
