Abstract
The project focuses on the construction of a smart, wireless doorbell (notification system) that replaces traditional wired doorbells with a modern, IoT-based alternative. The system is composed of two primary modules: a transmitter unit and a receiver unit, both controlled by ESP8266 microcontrollers with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities. The transmitter detects a presence using an ultrasonic sensor, then wirelessly sends a signal to the receiver, which activates a buzzer, LED indicators, and displays a message on a 16x2 LCD screen. To ensure uninterrupted operation, both units are powered using 3.7V Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries managed by TP4056 charging modules, providing power regulation and battery protection. The system was programmed using the Arduino IDE. The results confirmed reliable wireless communication, fast response time, and efficient power consumption. The inclusion of both audio and visual alerts enhances accessibility for users, including those with hearing impairments. This project demonstrates a practical application of embedded systems, wireless communication, and smart home technology. It contributes to knowledge by showcasing how low-cost components can be integrated to create effective, accessible, and scalable solutions for residential or commercial security and convenience. The system offers a user-friendly, energy-efficient alternative to conventional doorbell systems, suitable for modern automated living environments....
