The smart dustbin utilizes an Arduino Nano as the central processing unit to manage and coordinate the actions of various components, including ultrasonic sensors, a servo motor, LED indicators, a buzzer, and an LCD display. The system is powered by lithium-ion batteries and protected using a TP4056 Battery Management System, ensuring reliable and safe power delivery to the system. The smart dustbin is equipped with two ultrasonic sensors: one detects motion in front of the bin to trigger the automatic lid opening via the servo motor, while the other monitors the internal waste level. When the bin is full, the system alerts users through a buzzer and red LED, while a green LED indicates normal operation. An LCD display with an I2C adapter provides real-time status updates such as"Lid Opening" or"Bin 80% Full". The entire assembly is enclosed within a protective casing and mounted on a standard wastebin, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
