Abstract
This study determined“ICT and Crime Management in Anambra State (2014– 2023)”. The study was anchored on the Routine Activity Theory (RAT), Situational Crime Prevention Theory and the Victimization& Social Control Theory and Cross-Sectional survey design was employed which facilitated the structured research instrument (questionnaire) to be used in obtaining data for the analysis which the researcher distributed to the respondents who were randomly selected from each local government of the state. Out of the target population of 824 persons with age range (20years and above) 75 persons were executive members of trade unions 50 were government revenue personnels 102 were drivers from transport companies 310 were traders and business owners whereas the rest were roadside viewers, students, pedestrians, hawkers etc. Using Taro Yamane sampling method, data was analyzed using 269 respondents. Results showed that the use of ICT infrastructures in crime management are still limited but seems to be adequate in provision in Anambra State. The findings of  the research shows that only video cameras (CCTV) and mobile phones  are accepted to be available in schools while facilities like metal detectors, phone signal jammers, interactive web portals for reporting crimes, electronic detectors, biometric finger print identity system, faraday cage and walkie talkie are not available. The study further revealed that although students are aware of available facilities, they are not exposed to use them in detecting crimes and enhancing the school security. These lapses could be as a result of poor orientation of students about the importance and usage. Therefore,  Anambra State government should deploy and upgrade CCTV surveillance systems in high-crime zones and also establish a centralized digital database for crime records accessible to all security agencies....
