With the advent of advanced generative models such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), it is now possible to generate high-quality images that are indistinguishable from those captured by cameras. However, there is still a need for software that can allow users with little to no background in AI to easily generate images based on textual descriptions. This project aims to design and implement an image generation software using OpenAI’s DALL-E neural network. The software will allow users to input text descriptions of the image they want to generate, and DALL-E will produce a high-quality image that matches the description. The software will be designed with a user-friendly interface to enable easy interaction and generate images with different variations. The project will use the Agile software development methodology, with a focus on iterative and incremental development. The analysis phase will involve gathering requirements, researching existing solutions, and defining the scope of the project by outlining what the software will and will not include, as well as the specific features and capabilities it aims to deliver. The design phase will involve creating software architecture, user interface design, and selecting the most suitable technologies for implementation. The software will be developed using NextJS for building the web app, Tailwind CSS for styling, and Vercel for deployment. GitHub will be used for version control and VS Code will be used as the development environment.
