Abstract
This study examined the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Sit-at-Home Order and the Economy of Anambra State of Nigeria 2021-2022. A survey research design was adopted for the study and the sampling method used was the simple random sampling with a sample size of 1000 respondents, due to the limited scope, out of which 824 responded. Questionnaires and Interviews were the only instruments of data collection used. The data generated for the study were subjected to statistical analysis using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Statistical tools of percentages, mean and standard deviation were employed for the description section, while the hypotheses were tested using the Chi-Square statistical tool. The results revealed that economic growth is negatively affected by the IPOB sit-at-home order. The study uncovered that the sit-at-home order has a huge hostile effect on the economic activities in Anambra State, Nigeria. By implication, any order restricting people from going about their daily businesses is inimical to the economic health of such a region. This study recommends that government should come to terms of agreement with the IPOB hierarchy to restore sound business environment for expected level of investment inflow religious bodies, traditional rulers, and other key stakeholders, should diplomatically and politically engage the federal government of Nigeria for the release of the IPOB leader the Federal government should adopt all-inclusive governance as this will return full economic activities in Anambra State, Nigeria....
