Facilities management involves the entire building as a whole, its structure, fabrics, components, services, space dimension, story height and its special attachment from substructure to the apex of the superstructure. Some corporate organizations are increasingly embracing the need for efficient facilities management like any new venture, effective facilities management practice in Nigeria entails the adaptation of some strategies. This study assesses facilities management strategies in some selected corporate organizations in Abuja. The research adopted the survey method for data collection and the case study method, which was based on the study of 5 selected corporate organizations in Abuja. The sampling technique used was a random sampling method. A total number of 124 Questionnaires were distributed to the staff in the selected organizations. 98 questionnaires were retrieved and used for analysis. This study discovered that the facilities management strategies used are either in-house sourcing, outsourcing or application of both strategies. Steps such as business plan, development stages and achievement of workable strategy, management issues, cost factors, skilled personnel and safety and security provision are recommended for the selection of an effective and efficient facilities management strategy in an organization.
