With the objectives of assessing the knowledge of the youths on drug abuse, and to also identify the ways to prevent drug abuse, among others. This descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out using the convenience sampling technique to get one hundred and sixty-seven respondents who participated. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) was adopted for the data entry. The research shows that most youths 107 (64%) have a good knowledge of drug abuse. This study revealed that the majority of the respondents, 76 (45.5%), are within the age limit of 26-35 years. A good number among the respondents 89.7% say that health education can help in the prevention of drug abuse. Therefore, there is a need to stop. It is therefore recommended that stigmatizing drug addicts and abusers so as to allow the use of health education as a way of the social unit, can also be penetrated through incorporating the teachings against drug abuse in their curriculum from primary to tertiary educational levels.
