Abstract
Athletes participating in high-risk sports face heightened injury risks due to the physical intensity and dynamic demands of their activities. This review aims to explore effective injury prevention and management strategies tailored to high-risk sports, focusing on evidence-based practices and multidisciplinary approaches. Results highlight that concussions, ligament tears, fractures, and muscle strains are the most common injuries in high-risk sports, often caused by factors such as poor technique, overtraining, and inadequate use of protective equipment. Prevention strategies, including dynamic warm-ups, sport-specific strength training, proper technique education, and the use of advanced protective gear, have been shown to significantly reduce injury risks. Technological advancements like wearable sensors and motion capture systems further enhance prevention efforts by identifying biomechanical abnormalities. The study concludes that reducing injury risks and improving recovery outcomes in high-risk sports necessitates a holistic approach involving athletes, coaches, medical professionals, and psychologists. Recommendations include pre-season screening, workload monitoring, advanced injury detection technologies, and education on injury prevention. Future research should explore the role of genetics, emerging therapies, and psychological factors in injury prevention and management. By implementing evidence-based guidelines, stakeholders can enhance athlete safety, optimize performance, and reduce the long-term physical and psychological impact of sports-related injuries....
