The objective of the study are to assess the level of acceptance and identify the factors influencing acceptance of HPV vaccination among students of selected secondary schools in Kwara. Relevant literature was reviewed. Quantitative research design was adopted for the study. The target population for this study was 233 female students of selected secondary schools (Government Girl Day Secondary School and C&S College, Sabo-Oke, Ilorin). Multi-Stage sampling technique was used in selecting the respondents for the study. The instrument used was researcher designed questionnaire and about 162 questionnaires were analyzed using the Statistical Product and Services Solution (SPSS) version 25. Findings from the analysis revealed that 54.3% strongly agreed that the HPV vaccine is effective in preventing cervical cancer and genital warts, while 50.6%, 59.9%, and 63% strongly agreed to accept the vaccine if it were free, recommended by a healthcare provider, and supported by parents respectfully. In conclusion, a significant proportion of the students have a good understanding of the link between HPV and cervical cancer and the role of the HPV vaccine in preventing these diseases and there was a high level of acceptance of HPV vaccination among the students. Recommendations were made that the government should make the HPV vaccine more affordable and accessible by including it in the National Immunization Schedule Programme or providing subsidies.
