Relevant literatures from various authors on research and research writing and researches on the attitude and perception, about research writing among nurses were reviewed. A descriptive survey design was used, 92 questionnaires were administered and retrieved by the researcher. Data collected was analyzed with the use of frequencies, percentages and are presented using frequency tables and charts. Relationship between variables were determined using chi-square with the level of significance set at 0.05 to determine level of statistical significance. The findings from the research showed that the students have showed that majority of the students 52(52.56%) believe that research is important in nursing, 50(54.35%) enjoys reading research articles, 49(53.26%) are interested in learning about research methods, while, 44(47.83%) feels that research is too difficult, and 40(43.48%) initiate writing research.
