A sample size of 200 respondents, including both food outlet staff and customers, was interviewed using purposive sampling. Analysis of the data sheds light on the challenges faced by food outlets in maintaining high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety, as well as the economic implications of non-compliance. Recommendations are proposed to enhance compliance levels and mitigate risks associated with foodborne illnesses and occupational hazards.
