The aim of this research is to examine the level at which inflation affect the students academic performance in AFUED. The five research questions were raised for this study. The study employed descriptive survey research design while data was collected by the use of questionnaire and the reliability coefficient was 0.60 by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The study employed mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions while at-test was used to answer the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The study revealed that the effect of high price of commodities on Economics student academic performance such as problem on affordability of text books and educational materials of their studies, students had to forgo purchasing textbooks or educational materials due to their prices. Students faced difficulties on affordability of notorious food option near campus.
