Recognizing the hospitality sector as a key driver of economic empowerment, the research examines how women’s participation in small-scale hospitality activities such as catering, food services, event management, and related ventures contributes to income generation, improved living standards, and overall poverty reduction. A mixed-method research design was employed, incorporating questionnaires, interviews, and secondary data to gather comprehensive information from women entrepreneurs in the study area. The findings reveal that hospitality entrepreneurship significantly enhances women’s economic independence, promotes household welfare, and provides sustainable livelihood opportunities. However, factors such as limited access to capital, inadequate training, and socio-cultural constraints continue to hinder optimal performance and expansion of women-led enterprises. The study concludes that strengthening hospitality entrepreneurship through targeted skill development programs, financial support schemes, and supportive policy frameworks can accelerate poverty eradication among women in Tarauni. It recommends concerted efforts by government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders to create an enabling environment that fosters women’s entrepreneurial growth and sustainable development....Preview Download Preview +Other Hospitality Management project topics and materials you might be interested in»The economic importance of hospitality industry to the nation»Importance of interpersonal relationship between restaurant and kitchen staff»Production of assorted snacks from composite flour with special references to sweet potato»Utilization of rice for the production of snacks and bread»Effect of economic depression on the marketing of hotel products»Roles of equipment availability on employee performance in the hotel industry»Enriching Nigeria menu with the use of soya beans»Examining the impact of online reservation system on the profitability of the hotel»The effect of corona virus pandemic (covid - 19) on the profitability of hotels establishment»Critical examination of safety and security concern in hospitality industry - case study of Exclusive Mansion»The effectiveness of health insurance as a motivational tool in the hotel industry - case study of selected hotels in Ikorodu, Lagos»The causes of food poisoning - effect and their control»Evaluate the service delivery and customer satisfaction in hospitality industry»Effect of food poisoning on guest patronage in catering establishment - case study of Tantalizer and The Place Restaurant»Impact of marketing communication in promoting tourist destination - case study of Katsina metropolis
