Among these innovations, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technology have gained significant attention due to their complementary strengths in data processing, decision-making, and secure record management. While AI enhances predictive analytics, automation, and intelligent decision support, blockchain ensures data integrity, transparency, and immutability. This study examines the integration of AI and blockchain technology in public administration systems, with emphasis on how their combined application can improve service delivery, reduce corruption, and enhance policy implementation. The research explores key areas such as digital identity management, public procurement, tax administration, records management, and citizen engagement systems. The study adopts a qualitative research approach based on secondary data sourced from academic literature, policy documents, and case studies. Findings reveal that the integration of AI and blockchain can significantly improve governance efficiency by enabling real-time data analysis, automating administrative processes, and ensuring secure and tamper-proof records. However, the study identifies several challenges, including high implementation costs, data privacy concerns, lack of technical expertise, interoperability issues, and regulatory uncertainties. These challenges limit the full-scale adoption of integrated AI-blockchain systems in many public institutions, particularly in developing countries. The study concludes that the integration of AI and blockchain presents a powerful opportunity for modernizing public administration systems, but requires strong institutional frameworks, capacity building, and supportive policies. It recommends phased implementation, investment in digital infrastructure, and development of clear regulatory guidelines to ensure sustainable adoption....Preview Download Preview +Other Public Administration project topics and materials you might be interested in»Impact of industrial conflict on the performance of workers in the government parastatal (a case study of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)»Human resources as a catalyst for economic growth and development in Nigeria (a case study of Abuja municipal area council) »The influence of effective personnel management practice in organization performance»Local government financial autonomy and grass root development in Nigeria (a case study of Afikpo north local government area)»Effects of delayed payment of lecturers salaries and wages on students performance»Manpower training and development as a tool for effective performance in public sector in Nigeria»The impact of poor revenue generation on the development of Local Government Areas»Enhancing political stability in Nigeria through good governance ( a case study of Abia state)»Fuel subsidy removal and the Nigerian economy (a case study of Abakiliki local government area, Ebonyi state) »Niger-Delta crisis and its impact on socio-economic development in Nigeria»Accountability and corruption in local government in Nigeria (Case study of Bonny local government area of Rivers state)»Political instability a major hindrance to effective policy implementation and good governance (a case study of Nigeria 1983 -1999)»Bureaucracy and efficiency (a case study of Enugu state civil service)»Impact of collective bargaining techniques on industrial relations practice (a case study of two selected firms from NUPENG and NUBIFE)»The level of implementation of the pension act in federal polytechnic: (a study of Akanu Ibiam federal polytechnic, Unwana Afikpo Ebonyi state)
