The purposes of this study are: to identify the available electronic information resources in Kogi State Polytechnic, to determine the role of electronic information resources in the academic performance of students, to examine the uses and benefits of electronic information resources and to determine the constraints to the use of electronic information resources by students. The methods of data collection were primary and secondary methods of data collection. The primary data were collected using questionnaires. The researcher analyzed the data collected based on the responses from the questionnaire distributed. From the population of 1200, a sample size of 100 was chosen using stratified random sampling. Frequency counts and percentages were used to analyze the research questions, from which the following findings were drawn. The findings revealed that electronic information resources has positive effect on student academic performance, it offers a range of potential advantages to libraries and end users.
