The major objective of this project is to examine the relevance of modern farming technologies in agriculture in Kogi State and to assess the benefits of modern farming techniques in agricultural production in Kogi State. The methodology adopted in gathering data was the survey method, both primary and secondary methods. The major instrument used to gather data from primary sources is the questionnaire. From a population of 265,000, a sample size of 399 respondents was selected using Taro Yamane. Findings revealed that the adoption of modern techniques in agricultural production offers a promising pathway to enhance productivity, sustainability, increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance yields in farming practices. Continued research and widespread adoption of these advanced technologies are essential to realize their full potential and address the challenges and opportunities in modern agriculture. However, the benefits of modern techniques are not fully realized due to infrastructural, financial, and educational constraints. Addressing these challenges is essential for maximizing the impact of modern agriculture on food production. In view of the findings, it was recommended that the government of Kogi State should invest in agricultural infrastructure, subsidize modern farming equipment, and provide grants or soft loans to farmers. Government upgrade and decentralize mechanisms, boost farmer finance and output delivery and invest in irrigation and water management infrastructure. Regular training programs and workshops should be organized to expose farmers to new technologies and sustainable practices....Preview Download Preview +Other Public Administration project topics and materials you might be interested in»Impact of industrial conflict on the performance of workers in the government parastatal (a case study of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)»Human resources as a catalyst for economic growth and development in Nigeria (a case study of Abuja municipal area council) »The influence of effective personnel management practice in organization performance»Local government financial autonomy and grass root development in Nigeria (a case study of Afikpo north local government area)»Effects of delayed payment of lecturers salaries and wages on students performance»Manpower training and development as a tool for effective performance in public sector in Nigeria»The impact of poor revenue generation on the development of Local Government Areas»Fuel subsidy removal and the Nigerian economy (a case study of Abakiliki local government area, Ebonyi state) »Enhancing political stability in Nigeria through good governance ( a case study of Abia state)»Niger-Delta crisis and its impact on socio-economic development in Nigeria»Accountability and corruption in local government in Nigeria (Case study of Bonny local government area of Rivers state)»Political instability a major hindrance to effective policy implementation and good governance (a case study of Nigeria 1983 -1999)»Bureaucracy and efficiency (a case study of Enugu state civil service)»The assessment of the roles of local government towards rural development - a case study of Katcha local government area of Niger state»Impact of collective bargaining techniques on industrial relations practice (a case study of two selected firms from NUPENG and NUBIFE)
