Abstract
The study examines Artificial Intelligence in Accounting for tax  Revenue Generation in Nigeria. The main objective of the study is to examine whether AI can enhance tax revenue generation in Nigeria.  The research method for this study is a descriptive research design. Data for the study were gathered from both primary and secondary sources.  The population of the study is 150, of which 109 were selected as the sample size using the Taro Yamane formula.  Hypotheses were tested using regression analysis.   The findings revealed that AI integration into accounting for tax revenue in Nigeria can significantly improve efficiency, compliance, and transparency. By automating routine tax functions, enhancing fraud detection, and improving taxpayer services, AI provides a sustainable approach to revenue generation. The study concludes that the success of AI adoption requires overcoming challenges such as weak infrastructure, lack of expertise, and cybersecurity concerns. If properly implemented, AI will not only modernize Nigeria’s tax administration but also position the country in line with global best practices in revenue management. The study recommended that the Nigerian government should prioritize the development of robust ICT infrastructure to support AI-driven tax systems. Without reliable internet, cloud computing capacity, and secure databases, AI adoption will be limited. Continuous training of tax administrators and accountants on AI tools is necessary to reduce resistance and increase efficiency. Partnerships with universities and technology firms can help in developing tailored AI training programs....
