The objective of this study is to identify security challenges faced by Federal Polytechnic, Idah, and to determine methods used to tackle security challenges. The research design adopted was a survey research method. Data for the study were collected through both primary and secondary sources. With a population of 50 library staff, the total population was used as the sample size. A total of 50 questionnaires were administered to the library staff of Federal Polytechnic, Idah, but only 40 were filled and returned correctly, which served as the basis for data presentation and analysis. The information obtained through the questionnaire was analyzed in tables using simple percentages. The findings show that mutilation, disruptive patrons, theft of library materials, obnoxious behavior, pilfering, and abuse of library staff are the security challenges faced by Federal Polytechnic, Idah.
